does anyone have problems with tinnitus please help me?

it seems certain sounds like car engines water the sound of a plastic bag makes this whistle effect that i hear the TV also does the same thing anyone else suffering from this i am in high school and its very stress full my ears nose Specialist did numerous test and my hearing is fine reactive tinnitus i have been hearing online. any Personal coping and stories would help

Yes, I have pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear. I've had it for about 3 years now, I went to the hospital and they gave me hearing tests and said it was all fine, like they did for you. Mine is strange because it's like an echo of my own heartbeat thudding in my ear, but on only one side. What triggers mine off is exercise, tiredness, etc. One way it starts off is if I lean forward. Doctors say tinnitus can come and go. Mine had calmed down, but my mom started it all off by shouting really loud next to my ear, now it's back again. I have taken a herbal product callled gingko biloba before, that helps with tinnitus. More needs to be done to find a cure for this horrible illness.

As summergirl noted, the cause determines whether or not there is a remedy. If it is brought about by factors such as medication, the remedy is to discontinue the medication or other aggravating factor. If it is due to physiological damage (due to long-term and/or severe decibel exposure), there is no remedy. I have tinnitus, but it is mild--one thing I have noted is that it is much worse when I am tired.
