Almost every plant has a potential to heal. Your question is so open-ended I'm not sure what you are asking. You surely don't want a list. I have a field guide to American medicinal plants that has over 500 entries! And that's just the eastern & central U.S.

As many as 25% of all prescription drugs contain a plant derived ingredient. Periwinkle is used in chemotherapy drugs. Foxglove glycosides are used in several drugs to treat heart disease. Steroid hormones come mostly from plants. Morphine comes from the opium poppy. The list goes on.

For an all-around healthful tonic, try this Old English herbal combination: combine equal parts: Agrimony, Lemon Balm, Dandelion Root, Peppermint, Raspberry Leaf. Steep one rounded teaspoon to each cup of boiling water. After 5 minutes, strain and drink hot. Or drink tea of Raspberry Leaf or Blackberry Leaf or Nettles.

Oregano helps relieve gas, as does anise. Dragon's blood sap gets rid of swelling from insect bites. Coffee helps with headaches (caffeine). The whites of lemons will help heal cuts. Lemon juice is good for kidneys, gastritis, and excess acid in general (it's the perfect pH for your stomach). Valerian is an excellent sleep aid (from a chemical in valerian they make Valium).

Aloe, as in Aloe Vera. The raw natural goo inside of the "leaf" helps soothe burns, especially sunburn. The natural version far surpasses the refined versions sold in stores.

St.John's wort plant is used for mild depression and other benefits.

Echenacea is another plant used to cure sore-throats and support the immune system.

Kava plant is used to sooth stress.

There are millions more worth investigating.

LOTS! One that comes to mind is the aloe plant. It you have a burn, you can rub the juice from one of the leaves on the burn, for example.

And one of the best medicinal plants is the marijuana plant...it's been used to treat glaucoma, and chronic wasting associated with HIV / AIDS and cancer.
